minimally invasive means. The results may be short term or long term
depending on the means chosen.

Men and women alike share a
common desire to have a healthy, youthful skin. Exposure to the sun,
to the elements, and detrimental living habits all contribute to the
appearance of our skin today. Chemical peels have become very
popular with those who are unhappy with acne scarring, sun damaged
skin, age spots, freckles, fine lines, rough skin and uneven
pigmentation.
This is process of peeling the top layers of the skin to minimize
the look of fine lines and to get rid of superficial scarring and
skin blemishes. The result is a smoother, younger looking skin free
of superficial blemishes and pigment problems. The results depend on
the depth of the peel and the recovery period also depends on the
type and depth of the peel. Chemical peels are not limited to the
face and can be performed on the neck, chest, hands, arms,
shoulders, and legs- just about anywhere!
What It Does : Chemical peels are topically
applied acids that aid in the restoration and rejuvenation of the
skin's surface. They create an even and controlled shedding of
several layers of the skin. Depending on the type and depth of the
peel, few or many layers can be shed allowing new layers to be
exposed and a creating a fresh new appearance.
Best Candidates :Your skin type and the results
you are trying to achieve will determine if you are a candidate and
which type of peel is most appropriate for you.
Benefits : Chemical Peels can enhance your
appearance by reducing blotchy and uneven pigmentation, fine lines
and wrinkles, freckling, age spots, sun-damaged skin, and acne scars
in a relatively short period of time. Chemical peels stimulate the
production of new cells. Enjoy fresh smooth skin!
Types of Chemical Peels :
Glycolic acid Peel :
Glycolic Acid Peel, penetrating the superficial dermis layer.
Glycolic Acid is used to remove dead surface cells of the skin. Upon
application, you will feel a slight stinging, which subsides after a
few minutes. Any redness disappears by the end of the same day.
Glycolic peels can be repeated as needed. This anti-aging treatment
is excellent for smoothing rough, dry and sun-damaged skin, giving
it a brighter appearance and fresher texture; also for a fine lines
and age spots of face and hands. Either 50% or 70% strengths can be
used depending on the desired results.
TCA Peel :
The TCA Peel is a deep peel, penetrating deep into the dermis. A
TCA Peel uses trichloroacetic acids to remove outer layers of the
skin. During the procedure, there is a burning sensation. Moderate
discomfort and swelling of the treated areas lasts for about a week,
and minimal scabbing lasts for few weeks following a TCA peel, but
most patients look presentable enough to return to their normal
activities after about a week. This treatment is excellent for;
early wrinkling, mild scarring and age spots on the face and hands,
to counteract moderate sun damage, uneven pigmentation and weathered
skin. SUN PROTECTION: SPF-30 with zinc on all affected areas for 1
year if exposed to direct sunlight

Botulinum toxin offers a
temporary solution to the underlying cause of facial lines
especially those between the brows, around the eyes, nose bunny
lines or the forehead. This is achieved through paralyzing the
muscle function for 3-4 months at a time. The treatment may be
repeated after this time for continued effect.
This is an outpatient procedure done with no anesthesia with the
help of injections of the botulinum toxin through a very fine
needle. There is usually no need to take time off from work or other
activities. A definite improvement can be seen in about 3-4 days and
maximal improvement is achieved in about 7 days. The effects last
for about 4-5 months and injections can be repeated at this time Dr.
Kashyap has an extensive experience with this treatment and is a
part of the "Botox Network" of excellence.

 A
variety of "filling" agents are available off the shelf to
fill up deep lines and wrinkles on the face by the means of skin
injections. No anesthesia is needed and there is little "downtime".
Some of these may require an allergy test prior to being used. Dr.
Kashyap uses only FDA Approved agents for this purpose. The effects
take only a few days and last for a variable period of time ranging
from 3-4 months to a couple of years. At this time you may have this
injectable treatment repeated or go for a long lasting surgical
treatment.
Types of Fillers :
- Restylane
- The Procedure
Restylane is a family of fillers based on hyaluronic acid,
a natural polysaccharide found in the body's connective
tissues. Restylane is a non-animal, bio-engineered
hyaluronic gel and the most widely used filler worldwide.
The product is injected into a different layers of the skin,
and may be injected in various areas of the face and hands
at the same time.
- Healing Time
As with all fillers, there may be some swelling or bruising
for a few days, but make-up can be worn straight away
- How Long Does It Last
Six to nine months or longer, depending on which product is
injected, where, and in what quantity.
- Autologous Fat Transfer
This is a technique of micro injections of very small quantities
of patient's own fat that has been purified. The fat is removed
with the help of a small syringe so as not to damage the fat
cells. This new technique has been perfected by Dr. Kashyap to
give long-lasting results after a couple of treatments. This can
be combined with removal of fat from unwanted parts of the face
or the body.
- The Procedure
Unlike other fillers, the process involves several stages.
Fat is extracted by syringes from your hips, tummy, and
thighs or wherever you have it cleansed, then re-injected
into facial folds and creases, lips or hollows.
- Healing Time
You can expect some swelling and redness for several days,
and bruising is more likely, since there is more trauma with
fat transfer than with commercially available fillers, and
more volume is used in one session.
- How Long Does It Last
Results are very variable. Fat transfer can last from 6
months to several years, depending on the extent of the
treatment and how it is injected. Generally, the areas that
last least time are the most mobile ones, because they are
more subject to muscle activity - for example, fat around
the lips and mouth lasts the shortest time, as this area is
constantly in motion. Fat is popular as a way of filling in
hollows around eyes; but this area is prone to lumps,
because the skin is thin and translucent, so smaller amounts
should be used here.

Mesotherapy - Bio
Rejuvenation
|
If the mantra of working from the inside to
improve the outside strikes a chord with you, Bio
rejuvenation-Mesotherapy is the way to glow from within.
This technique is a form of mesotherapy using micro injections,
which go under the skin and are absorbed by the mesodermal (middle)
layer. Bio rejuvenation also referred to as a 'mesolift', uses a
combination of vitamins, minerals, herbs and antioxidants, to
improve the texture, tone and add quality of the skin. The technique
infuses the dermis to revitalize the skin, like replacing the
padding underneath a worn carpet. Mesotherapy is commonly used for
cellulite and improving dermal health. This is a very gradual
treatment requiring several sittings. Ten to twelve sittings are
required to see the results of mesotherapy.
