What
It Does :
Removes pockets of hard to loose fat from the legs, arms, abdomen,
face, under the chin or almost any part of the body. There is actual
removal of cells, rather than reduction in size of the cells. While
dieting reduces your weight and overall size, liposuction actually
removes fat and so reduces the total number of fat cells, as well as
altering your shape and contours. It is considered a safe and
effective way to remove unsightly bulges from almost any area. Fat
deposits that don't respond to exercise and diet regimes are ideal
targets for liposuction. Most body parts can be suctioned from the
face to the ankles. The most popular areas for women are the
abdomens, inner and outer thighs, hips, waist, upper back, buttocks
and knees. Patients who are very overweight may have to undergo
these procedures in stages. The more elastic the skin, the better
liposuction works. However, if you have a flabby skin as a result of
pregnancy, ageing or weight fluctuations, liposuction will be able
to reduce the fat but not tighten the loose skin. Liposuction will
not reduce dimpling or cellulite.
Best Candidates :
Individuals with localized fat deposits on the body with good skin
elasticity. It does not improve cellulite. Patients with loose,
flabby skin are not good candidates.
